Sonorans love their music, and virtually every event has a musical component. And sometimes the fiesta is all about the music.

Concerts take a variety of forms, from listening to a taka taka band in your favorite cantina, to performances in clubs and other small venues, and up to concert halls and arenas. And then there are outdoor music festivals.

Outdoor festivals, especially those that feature alternative music and arts, are becoming more popular in the Mexican state of Sonora, and we'll list them here as they're announced (or as we hear about them).

1st Annual Kino Fest
Alternative Music and Arts Festival

On the beach at Kino Bay, Sonora
I don't know about you, but I'd find any excuse to go to the beach at Kino Bay, and this seems like a good one... The music at this first-ever event will be a complement to the seaside beauty of Bahia Kino.
